The Town of Ringle Comprehensive Plan is intended to guide town and county decision makers on a variety of issues over the next twenty years. This plan documents existing conditions in the Town and identifies primary issues or concerns to address in the future and identifies policies and actions to address those concerns. It includes information that assists in making decisions about such topics as future development, land use, transportation, housing, and economic development.
The Town of Marathon Comprehensive Plan identifies existing conditions in the Town as well as issues and concerns on a number of topics including future development, land use, transportation, housing, and economic development. Additionally this plan presents policies and actions to address those concerns and take future action. Public Input was sought at all stages of the planning process. This plan is intended to guide Town decision makers on a variety of issues over the next twenty years.

The City of Wausau Comprehensive Plan is intended to guide City decision-makers, property owners, developers, civic and non-profit organizations, and community members in the growth, development, and improvement of the City of Wausau. Each chapter of this plan documents existing conditions in the City and identifies primary issues or concerns the City may need to address in the future. It includes information on the City’s demographics, natural resources, land use, transportation, utilities, housing, cultural resources, community facilities, parks, economic development and intergovernmental cooperation.
Marathon County All Hazards Mitigation Plan (AHMP) Update describes and documents the process used to develop the Plan Update. This includes how it was prepared and who (committee, organizations, departments, staff, consultants, etc.) was involved in the update process. It also describes the local government involvement, the time period in which the update was prepared, and who to contact to answer questions and make recommendations for future amendments to the Plan.
An assessment of economic development activities of the Marathon County urbanized communities. These municipalities are the Village of Kronenwetter, the Village of Marathon City, the Town of Rib Mountain, the Village of Rothschild, the City of Schofield, the City of Wausau, and the Village of Weston.
The primary purpose of this outdoor recreation plan is to provide continued direction toward meeting the current and future recreation needs of the City of Schofield
This Outdoor Recreation Plan (ORP) was prepared pursuant to Wisconsin Statute §23.30 Outdoor Recreation Program. This section serves “to promote, encourage, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive long-range plan to acquire, maintain, and develop for public use, those areas of the state best adapted to the development of a comprehensive system of state and local outdoor recreation facilities and services…”

It includes information that assists in making decisions about such topics as future development, land use, transportation, housing, and economic development.
In the fall of 2015, the Village initiated a process to update its 2006 plan. The state planning law – 66.1001 – requires that a comprehensive plan be updated every 10 years.
A variety of Village Plan Commission meetings were held over the course of 2015 and 2016 to prepare the plan. A final Plan Commission meeting was held in early 2016 to review the final draft and recommend adoption of the plan to the Village Board.
