The City of Wausau Comprehensive Plan is intended to guide City decision-makers, property owners, developers, civic and non-profit organizations, and community members in the growth, development, and improvement of the City of Wausau. Each chapter of this plan documents existing conditions in the City and identifies primary issues or concerns the City may need to address in the future. It includes information on the City’s demographics, natural resources, land use, transportation, utilities, housing, cultural resources, community facilities, parks, economic development and intergovernmental cooperation.

Marathon County All Hazards Mitigation Plan (AHMP) Update describes and documents the process used to develop the Plan Update. This includes how it was prepared and who (committee, organizations, departments, staff, consultants, etc.) was involved in the update process. It also describes the local government involvement, the time period in which the update was prepared, and who to contact to answer questions and make recommendations for future amendments to the Plan.

It includes information that assists in making decisions about such topics as future development, land use, transportation, housing, and economic development.
Village of Rothschild Comprehensive Plan 2016
In the fall of 2015, the Village initiated a process to update its 2006 plan. The state planning law – 66.1001 – requires that a comprehensive plan be updated every 10 years.
A variety of Village Plan Commission meetings were held over the course of 2015 and 2016 to prepare the plan. A final Plan Commission meeting was held in early 2016 to review the final draft and recommend adoption of the plan to the Village Board.

Currently, the 135,000 County residents enjoy economic opportunity, quality schools, and strong communities, along with access to a wide variety of recreational options. Although, the County compares well when compared to other counties there is still room for improvement. An overarching goal of Marathon County is to become the Healthiest, Safest and Most Prosperous County in the State. Therefore, the intent of this plan is to provide the foundation for that improvement.

Maple Ridge Development Concept Plan
In the fall of 2014, the Village of Kronenwetter engaged the North Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (NCWRPC) to evaluate development potential centered near I-39 and Maple Ridge Road. In 2013, the interchange located on Maple Ridge Road and I-39 was rebuilt by the Department of Transportation resulting in new infrastructure and development opportunities for the area.
Marathon County Transportation Program Needs Assessment – 2014
The Marathon County Transportation Coordinating Committee (TCC) is responsible for the elderly and disabled transportation in the County. The TCC has determined it wants a better understanding of what the needs are for transportation for these groups across the County. This Needs Assessment is intended to compile information the TCC can use to begin to make decisions as to whether they have, at least at the County level, the ability to meet some of the needs that are out there and do some things where those needs might occur.
