Town of Rolling Comprehensive Plan 2023

The Comprehensive Plan explores potential issues that may have an impact upon the development of the Town over a 20-year planning period. As required by the state’s comprehensive planning law – 66.1001 – plans must be updated every ten years. The planning process for this comprehensive plan began as a public survey in late 2021, see Attachment F for details. In early 2023, the Town Plan Commission began a review of the survey and past plans and held a variety of Plan Commission meetings throughout 2023 to prepare the plan. A final Planning Commission meeting was held in Fall 2023 to review the final plan and recommend adoption of the plan by the Town Board, which adopted the plan October 2023.

North Central Wisconsin Enterpreneurship Assessment

The North Central Wisconsin Regional Entrepreneurship Assessment examines how well the North Central Wisconsin Region is supporting entrepreneurs. The assessment contains a regional profile of the Region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem including business establishment trends, an overview of the five drivers of entrepreneurship and how they impact entrepreneurship throughout the Region, a summary of a survey sent out to local business owners throughout the Region, and recommendations intended to enhance the Region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The objectives of this report are to provide a better understanding of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the North Central Wisconsin Region, and to develop actionable recommendations based on the findings of the assessment. These recommendations will help guide the Region’s efforts towards fostering long-term economic and entrepreneurial development initiatives.

North Central Wisconsin Enterpreneurship Portal

North Central Wisconsin’s economy depends on entrepreneurs that are able to successfully start and manage companies, and on our ability to support existing businesses as well as attract new businesses. The North Central Wisconsin Entrepreneurship Portal supports entrepreneurs and business owners by providing access to information that can help them thrive.

The Entrepreneurship Portal identifies available funding opportunities for businesses; resources such as trainings, tools, and workshops & events to help support business development; organizations that support entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout the region; and available spaces such as co-working spaces and business incubators throughout North Central Wisconsin.

North Central Wisconsin Regional Recovery Dashboard

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NCWRPC was awarded a grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) to assist with the economic recovery of the Region. Part of the scope of work for the grant included the development of a Regional Recovery Plan. The Regional Recovery Plan includes both short-term and long-term strategies intended to guide the Region’s economic stabilization and recovery from current and future economic shocks and to help foster a resilient and sustainable North Central Wisconsin.

As the Region continues to recover from the pandemic and build towards a more prosperous future, local communities and organizations can use the North Central Wisconsin Regional Recovery Dashboard to help track the Region’s progress on issues that were identified in the Regional Recovery Plan as crucial to the prosperity of North Central Wisconsin.

Town of Monico Comprehensive Plan 2022

In the fall of 2021, the Town initiated a process to update its plan. The state planning law – 66.1001 – requires that a comprehensive plan be updated every ten years. A variety of Planning Commission meetings were held over the course of 2021 and 2022 to prepare the plan. A final Planning Commission meeting was held in the winter of 2022 to review the final draft and recommend adoption of the plan by the Town Board. The plan was adopted by the Town Board on April 4, 2022
